Account book and collection records kept for the administration of Timothy Stone's estate, 1824-1825.

Volume contains receipts and lists, mostly pertaining to the estate of Timothy Stone, kept by M.A. Ward - an employee of J. Humphrey Bissell, attorney for the estate. Receipts attached to the volume are for the payment of rent for the Stone estate, for the proceeds of the Stone estate received by Hannah Stone, and for the hiring of Marlborough. Lists include a list of the names of individuals and companies and the amounts owed. Many entries are followed by check marks, and some are marked paid and received. A list entitled "bills presented" also contains names and amounts owed. A list entitled "sales after death - M. Ward" includes various types of horse-drawn carriages and wagons and their prices. In the back of the volume are receipts for the salary of M.A. Ward, for money received by J.H. Bissell from sales and collections made by Ward, and for wages received by Ward from Bissell, attorney "as per agreement with Mrs. Stone."
